Healing means becoming 'whole again.'  If you have ever suffered a major injury, illness or loss, you will recognise the need to heal more than just your body.

The same is true if you are often frustrated by aspects of your life that you feel are 'holding you back' from your full potential for a happy and fulfilling life.

If this is so, spending some time on self-healing or sending healing thoughts to others may be a powerful way forward for you.

Sending Healing thoughts to oneself, a situation in the past/present - or to another person, can be a profoundly rewarding thing to do. All it takes is a little time and the willingness to be benevolent to yourself and others.

The benefits of this exercise are far-reaching and very tangible, it will:

Help you to identify who and what you wish to be healed

Highlight the people and situations that are important in your life

Connect you with kinder, more benevolent emotions

Release oxytocin and serotonin into your system, that will make you feel safe and happy

Focus your thoughts on how a ‘healing’ might come about

Enable you to find the words to say or the practical things that you can do to make a difference

So whether you believe in the process of sending healing thoughts or not there are many really good reasons for doing so. All you need to do is to find yourself a quiet moment and create within yourself a benevolent frame of mind, picture the person or situation and imagine how they or it would look differently if ‘healed’ or ‘resolved’. Try to feel the difference in the two scenes, feel the joy of the latter and release the vision into the atmosphere, with a feeling of unconditional love.
