Action

I like to make lists, plan, schedule, target and set deadlines. I do this in part, because it is a very useful way to make me feel productive and proactive without actually having to take any scary action!!

I don't think I am alone in this. Oh sure - I do work to deadline sometimes and I do tick items off on my to do lists - but there are always some items that just seem to keep being added to the next list, or some deadlines that for some "entirely justifiable reason" keep being moved.

I'm not being entirely flippant here - some things are genuinely out of our control - but if you look at your list of items that keep being put on the back burner or deadlines that have come and gone a few times, consider: -

What is the pattern telling you?

What are you reluctant to tackle?

What would be the best and worst possible outcome of just taking the action you're avoiding right now?

I'm not going to suggest planning or visualising your next step, because if this is ringing true for you, you have already done plenty of that! Today, I am going to suggest that you take a deep breath and take decisive action, have that conversation, book that trip, apply for that new job, join a windsurfing club!

As the old proverb goes:

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is TODAY"

Be bold, be wise and embrace the day,

Namaste
