Who am I ? What do I do?

I am Tracy Palazzo-Barnes and I have been a Complementary Therapist specialising in muscular injury and referred pain for many years.

Over the course of my career I have helped hundreds of people with a huge range of needs, whether training for a sports event, or struggling with pain and restricted movement as a result of an injury or ongoing medical condition.  This has included clients from 8 - 80, from gymnasts to wheelchair users.

Whoever we are, the persistent call to push ourselves to the limit, leaves many of us suffering from chronic and repetitive physical pain, unexplained injury, fatigue, low self-esteem, anxiety, and a constant fear of failure. These are all symptoms of a much bigger picture and sometimes treatment requires as many different approaches as the clients who walk through my door.

I have described briefly below, each of the main disciplines I use to help my clients, take a look (click for explanation) and see if any of these might help you find the answer you are looking for.

You can now book a talk, workshop or visiting treatment at your club or workplace

For many years - and until fairly recently, I ran a cash-consuming serviced office.  The decision to ditch the overhead and work from home has freed up a lot of my time, so I now find myself available to do more talks and workshops to interested groups.

In the past I have guest lectured at a local University, provided therapy sessions for school inset days, presented talks on the connections between posture and pain - and stress and pain.  I have taught pain patterns to Yoga Teachers, assessed misalignment issues in adolescent gymnasts and helped groups that support people with mobility issues and their carers.

I get it, I've been around a while and I have seen so many variations of physical pain, immobility and emotional fears, phobias and destructive behaviour. I understand how it feels to be 'not good enough', whether physically or socially and I've been privileged to work with so many brave and resilient people on finding solutions or 'workarounds'.

I don't have a Magic Wand - though I often really wish I did! But I do love to share all that I have learned in the interests of helping others, so if you need a Staff Day to raise morale, a quick and easy way to motivate the disillusioned and the downhearted, practical ways to manage change or some simple ways to avoid pain and injury, I'd love to hear from you.

Give me a call: 07715600205 - or email me: mail@mindandbodyworx.com and let me know how I can help you.

Best wishes, Tracy
